• Supervise and review all labor registration applications and filings with the LACMS of the MLVT. • Review and draft employment contracts, policies, and internal labor regulations. • Draft legal advice, opinions, and fee proposals on all labor-related matters. • Oversee the entire process of terminations, layoffs, and labor dispute resolutions at the company, factory, MLVT, and Arbitration Council levels. • Assist in labor due diligence exercises, including reviewing documents, identifying risks, and supporting the preparation of due diligence reports. • Analyze cases to identify legal issues, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and formulate strategies for labor dispute resolution. • Assist clients in negotiations and draft settlement agreements. • Coordinate various labor-related projects within and outside the firm. • Coach Associates and Junior Associates on labor matters. • Draft and update templates and precedents and maintain time records. • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates and promptly addressing inquiries or concerns. • Efficiently manage and organize case files, including preparing fee proposals, meeting deadlines, tracking billable hours, preparing case summaries, and reviewing and revising client invoices. • Actively participate in the firm’s business development initiatives, including engaging with business associations, contributing to publications, and attending networking events. • Perform other substantive, secretarial, and administrative duties as assigned by supervisors/lawyers from time to time.
• Draft legal advice and opinions to clients on labor and employment matters. • Prepare legal briefs, memoranda, pleadings, contracts, agreements, and other relevant legal documents. • Assist in reviewing and drafting employment contracts, internal labor regulations, and employment policies. • Supervise the filling of labor-related applications and supporting documents of labor compliance with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT) • Coordinate and support labor and employment due diligence. • Conduct legal research on applicable laws and regulations relevant to practice areas. • Stay informed of economic, business, and legal developments relevant to client matters. • Communicate effectively with clients on assigned matters, providing direction, updates, and support. • Supervise case management activities, including document coordination, timelines, and matter closures. • Coordinate with internal teams, courts, government authorities, and external stakeholders as required. • Draft, review, and update templates and working tools to ensure correct, efficient, and consistent use. • Prepare fee proposals and budgets for assigned matters. • Manage billing processes, including preparation of fee proposals and accurate recording of billable and non-billable time. • Actively participate in business development, networking, and firm-building activities in line with firm objectives. • Perform other substantive, secretarial, and administrative tasks as assigned from time to time.
▪ Draft and prepare legal advice and opinion to clients, draft legal briefs/memoranda, contracts/agreements on the matters related to real estate and construction including concessions, mining, environment, or agriculture. ▪ Conduct due diligence exercises, including drafting/finalizing due diligence reports, on companies/owner, business, assets or projects related to concessions, mining, environment, or agriculture. ▪ Conduct/supervise research of laws and regulations and related practices on concession, mining, environment, and agriculture. ▪ Update templates and working tools to ensure that they can be used appropriately and effectively. ▪ Supervise case management and closings. ▪Prepare fee proposals, review time spent, review and revise invoice in accordance with the firm’s policies, and assist in the collection of outstanding invoices. ▪ Manage team and provide training, coaching, mentoring to advisors and legal assistants. ▪ Business development: maintain a professional relationship with other professional advisors/ firms, professional/business clubs, etc. ▪ Participate in the activities of legal professional bodies and maintain good relations with regulators and regulatory bodies. ▪ Participate in knowledge management, professional development, and firm administrative activities ▪ Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/lawyers from time to time.
