The Head of IT is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy and operations. This role oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system development, and digital transformation initiatives to ensure efficient and secure technology services. The position also manages IT teams, budgets, and aligns technology with business goals.
JOB SCOPE
Lead and manage the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, and security. Oversee system development, network administration, and data protection. Align IT strategy with business goals, support digital transformation, and ensure efficient and secure technology solutions across all departments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Oversee daily IT operations and lead the IT team to ensure reliable and secure technology services across the organization.
• Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives, covering infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and communication tools.
• Manage the IT department’s annual budget, including planning, monitoring, and controlling expenditures.
• Collaborate with senior management to assess business needs and deliver IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
• Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems by proactively monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure and applications.
• Establish standards, processes, and best practices for system implementation, support, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and training programs related to system use, security, and data governance.
• Manage all aspects of network asset management, including inventory, lifecycle, upgrades, and documentation.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of servers (email, backup, and application servers), data centers, and disaster recovery sites.
• Conduct research and recommend suitable IT products, services, protocols, and standards to support procurement and future growth.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and service agreements with external suppliers and contractors.
• Develop and implement methodologies for network performance testing, generate performance reports, and suggest improvements.
• Lead IT-related risk management, ensuring data protection, system backups, and robust disaster recovery procedures.
