A. JOB SUMMARY The School Counselor Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and developing the school counseling team to ensure the delivery of high-quality counseling services that support students’ academic, socialemotional, and behavioral development. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Leadership & Supervision • Supervise and provide professional guidance to school counselors across campuses. • Conduct regular team meetings, case reviews, and performance evaluations. • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for counselors. • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality policies, and professional practices. 2. Program Development & Implementation • Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive school counseling programs. • Develop annual and monthly counseling action plans aligned with school objectives. • Establish clear procedures for counseling interventions, crisis management, and referrals. • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements. 3. Counseling & Student Support • Provide individual and group counseling sessions as required. • Support students in areas such as academic planning, emotional regulation, behavioral management, decision-making, and personal development. • Address critical issues including absenteeism, bullying, crisis intervention, and safeguarding concerns. • Serve as a resource person for assessment, referral, and follow-up of students with behavioral, emotional, or social needs. 4. Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, school leaders, and parents to support student well-being. • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings regarding student cases. • Provide training workshops on social-emotional learning and mental health awareness for students and staff. • Maintain effective communication while upholding confidentiality standards. 5. Reporting • Maintain accurate student case files and counseling documentation. • Prepare reports on counseling activities and student support outcomes. • Participate in recruitment and interviews for counseling staff. • Attend management meetings and contribute to strategic planning. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. 6. Additional Requirement • Travel to assigned campuses as required to oversee counseling services. C. JOB QUALIFICATION • Strong understanding of child development in the 3-6 age bracket, and experience designing playbased, inquiry-oriented learning experiences. • Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural settings and with children from diverse linguistic/cultural backgrounds. • Additional desirable: training or experience in early years frameworks (e.g., EYFS, IEYC, Montessori, Reggio), first-aid/CPR certification

JOB TITLE: Vice School Principal DEPARTMENT: Academics REPORT TO: School Principal BASE LOCATION: Campuses STATUS: Full time A. JOB SUMMARY The Vice School Principal prioritizes the best interests of each student enrolled in subjects and courses at the campus. The VSP is responsible for organizing the curriculum in collaboration with other VSPs and the Director of International Programs at WIS. Together with the Academic Directors, the VSP ensures the maintenance of a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that maximizes opportunities and benefits for all students. The VSP also oversees the overall learning outcomes and tone of the academic environment. B. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of syllabus requirements for all relevant subjects. Stay informed about current trends in education, particularly regarding curriculum development, and implement effective tools for enhancement. Oversee and evaluate the preparation and implementation of work programs, study plans, and other courses of study within relevant subject areas. Monitor student learning and academic outcomes to ensure educational effectiveness. Assume the duties of the School Principal in their absence. Provide leadership to teachers in developing a responsive and appropriate curriculum. Supervise all teaching and non-teaching staff, including Teacher Assistants and Nannies. Coordinate with Department Heads to plan for full-time teachers, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring optimal time management. Regularly monitor individual teachers through: Observations and evaluations of lessons. Review of lesson plans. Monitoring assessments and grading. Collaborate with other Vice School Principals to discuss the curriculum cycle and other program aspects. Meet with the Director of International Programs and Vice-President to share progress and plan for ongoing needs. Hold regular departmental meetings (at least once a month), ensuring minutes are taken and shared. Liaise with teachers to promote quality work and ensure regular updates. Foster a strong connection between home and school to support student learning. Encourage parental involvement in their child's educational journey. Keep the supervisor and management informed about projects, changes, and challenges by providing timely and substantive feedback. Facilitate teacher meetings as forums for information sharing and feedback. Conduct year-end performance appraisals with recommendations for each teacher. Plan, implement, oversee, and evaluate assessment and reporting processes. Ensure accurate maintenance of student records. Lead professional development initiatives for teaching and non-teaching staff to enhance instructional practices. Develop and implement strategies for improving student engagement and achievement. Collaborate with support staff to address the diverse needs of students. Analyze academic data to inform decision-making and strategic planning for curriculum improvements. JOB SUMMARY Department Head assumes the educational leadership and supervision for the assigned department to ensure that students are supervised in a safe learning environment and provided instruction that meets and exceeds Curricula and directives of Western International School. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Department head works under the supervision of and in collaboration with the International Program Director and Vice School Principal to lead teachers and to communicate effectively with parents. B. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning and Preparation • Oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive subject area action plan for each phase of the curriculum cycle including curriculum assessment, program support and teachers’ development. • Facilitates grade level planning and assessment. • Plans and facilitates student activities to support instructional practice. • Develops a plan for full-time teachers through the appropriate delegation of tasks and ensuring an effective use of their time. Curriculum Development • Supervises and evaluates the current curriculum in the various content areas within the department so as to ensure the attainment of the school and government’s goals and objectives while meeting the instructional needs of all students. • Provides leadership in curriculum initiatives, the learning and teaching process and coordination of the kindergarten program. Resource Management • Develops and implements teaching methodology on a regular basis to support and promote school-wide instructional objectives such as student-centered approach and critical thinking across the curriculum of the department. • Develops an action plan for program improvement. • Assesses and requests materials and equipment in order to provide instructional support to teachers in their attempts to meet curricular outcomes. Leadership • Provides active, positive and continuous leadership in the Early Childhood Education department. This will include mentoring, collaboration and the sharing of information so that staff motivation is at an optimum level to encourage continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning. • Creates effective teams by inspiring and motivating staff. Being a positive role model for other staff. • Meets with other departments and teachers to evaluate, develop, monitor and plan implementation of curriculum, action plan for the subject area, ensure program continuity • Coordinates and manages the substitution plan for teachers (selects and assigns teachers) who are absent or on leave to ensure that no class is without a teacher at any time. • Monitors individual teachers on a regular basis by: o Observation and evaluation of lessons o Checking lesson plans o Monitoring or marking and assessment Communication • Meets with the International Program Director to discuss the curriculum cycle process and other program aspects • Meets with the International Program Director and Vice School Principal to keep them informed of progress and plan for needs throughout the year • Holds regular departmental meetings, at least once a month, at which minutes are taken and circulated or made available. • Liaises with Vice School Principals to ensure that quality work are encouraged, produced and updated regularly. • Promotes communication between home and school. • Encourages involvement of parents in their child’s learning Reporting • Keeps the supervisor and management informed about projects, changes, problems, etc. by providing accurate, substantive feedback in a timely manner. Reporting procedure and frequency is determined by the supervisors. • Secures support of teachers in establishing meetings as a forum for information sharing and feedback. • Conduct a year-end performance appraisal with recommendations for each teacher.
