Accountant / Finance & Administration Officer

What You Will Do

• Keep accurate accounting records: ledger entries, reconciliations, invoices, payment documents, and supporting files.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable: supplier payments, customer collections, and expense records.
•  Prepare monthly reports for management: cash position, income and expenses, unpaid amounts, and any issues that need attention.
•  Support Cambodian tax work (VAT, withholding tax, tax on salary, prepayment of income tax, patent tax, and yearly tax filing), with help from outside advisors when needed.
•  Help with payroll records, staff contributions, fixed asset records, and documents needed for audits.
•  Work with the team on stock, purchasing documents, and simple improvements to how we work.
• Improve checklists, filing, approval steps, and accounting procedures so the business is easier to run as it grows.

What You Will Grow Into

•  Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and management reporting.
•  Coordination across finance, stock, purchasing, suppliers, and the sales/admin team.
•  Better systems and controls, including improved use of accounting or ERP software.
•  Clear analysis and recommendations to support management decisions, and leadership duties as the role develops.

What We Are Looking For Required

•  2–5+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in Cambodia, with solid knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoices, payments, and financial documents.
• Knowledge of Cambodian tax rules, or a strong willingness to learn quickly with guidance.
• Fluent English, spoken and written. This is essential for reporting and for growth in the role.  
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, and confidence with accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Honesty, discretion, reliability, and attention to detail.  
• A practical, business-minded attitude and interest in taking on wider management duties.

Nice To Have

• Experience in retail, import, distribution, or other stock-based businesses.
• Experience working with auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, or government offices.
• ACCA, CPA, CAT, or other accounting studies in progress.
• Experience improving reports, workflows, or procedures.
• Some leadership experience, even informal, such as training a junior colleague.
