A. JOB SUMMARY

 

The School Counselor Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and developing the school counseling 
team to ensure the delivery of high-quality counseling services that support students’ academic, socialemotional, and behavioral development. This role ensures that counseling programs are implemented in 
accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and school policies while fostering collaboration 
among counselors, teachers, parents, and school leadershi

 

B. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

1. Leadership & Supervision 
• Supervise and provide professional guidance to school counselors across campuses.
• Conduct regular team meetings, case reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for counselors.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality policies, and professional practices.
2. Program Development & Implementation 
• Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive school counseling programs.
• Develop annual and monthly counseling action plans aligned with school objectives.
• Establish clear procedures for counseling interventions, crisis management, and referrals.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
3. Counseling & Student Support 
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions as required.
• Support students in areas such as academic planning, emotional regulation, behavioral 
management, decision-making, and personal development.
• Address critical issues including absenteeism, bullying, crisis intervention, and safeguarding 
concerns.
• Serve as a resource person for assessment, referral, and follow-up of students with 
behavioral, emotional, or social needs.
4. Collaboration & Communication 
• Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, school leaders, and parents to support 
student well-being.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings regarding student cases.
• Provide training workshops on social-emotional learning and mental health awareness for 
students and staff.
• Maintain effective communication while upholding confidentiality standards.

 

5. Reporting 

 

• Maintain accurate student case files and counseling documentation.
• Prepare reports on counseling activities and student support outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment and interviews for counseling staff.
• Attend management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

6. Additional Requirement 

 

• Travel to assigned campuses as required to oversee counseling services.

 

C. JOB QUALIFICATION

 

• Strong understanding of child development in the 3-6 age bracket, and experience designing playbased, inquiry-oriented learning experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural settings and with children from diverse 
linguistic/cultural backgrounds.
• Additional desirable: training or experience in early years frameworks (e.g., EYFS, IEYC, Montessori, 
Reggio), first-aid/CPR certification

    related field
  • Minimum of two years’ experience providing counselling  services to children, adolescents, and their parents
