Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Sales will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to establish and execute the hotel's pre-opening sales strategy. The role will develop key accounts, drive room and event revenue, maintain an active sales pipeline and support the Sales team in positioning Pan Pacific Phnom Penh across priority market segments. This position requires a hands-on sales leader with strong market knowledge, commercial discipline and a consistent focus on achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the pre-opening sales plan, market segmentation strategy, account deployment and sales activity calendar.
• Develop and manage key accounts across corporate, MICE, leisure, wholesale, government, embassy and other priority market segments.
• Conduct sales calls, presentations, site inspections, client entertainment and negotiations to secure rooms, meetings and event business.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, rate agreements and RFP submissions, ensuring accurate documentation and timely client follow-up.
• Maintain the sales system and account database, including client profiles, activities, opportunities, production and pipeline reporting.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and account performance to identify new business opportunities and recommend appropriate sales actions.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, Events and operational teams on pricing, promotions, campaigns and client requirements.
• Support the recruitment, coaching and performance management of the Sales team while representing the hotel at relevant industry and networking events.

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales & Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hotel sales experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in an international or luxury hotel; previous pre-opening experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Phnom Penh market with an established corporate, MICE or travel-trade network.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation and communication skills with a good command of English.
