✅ Clinical Care & Emergency Response
· Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illness.
· Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications per physician orders and district policy.
· Manage students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, severe allergies) including creating Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs).
· Perform catheterizations, tube feedings, or other specialized procedures as required.
✅ Health Screenings & Compliance
· Conduct vision, hearing, scoliosis, and growth screenings; make referrals as needed.
· Verify immunization records and manage communicable disease reporting (per state/local regulations).
· Maintain accurate, confidential electronic health records (e.g., SIS, Magnus Health).
✅ Health Education & Counseling
· Provide health counseling to students, families, and staff.
· Educate on hygiene, nutrition, puberty, mental health, and substance abuse prevention.
· Train staff on medication administration, EpiPens, seizure response, and bloodborne pathogens.
✅ Communication & Collaboration
· Liaise between families, primary care providers, school administration, and community agencies (e.g., health department).
· Coordinate with counselors and psychologists for student mental health support.
