A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

1. Recruitment Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement recruitment plans specifically targeting qualified drivers.
  • Work closely with operations and fleet departments to forecast driver manpower requirements.
  • Design sourcing strategies to attract licensed drivers for various vehicle categories (e.g., light trucks, heavy trucks, delivery vans).

2. Sourcing & Talent Acquisition

  • Post job advertisements on relevant job boards, social media, driving schools, and associations.
  • Build partnerships with training centers, driving schools, and community organizations to establish a driver talent pipeline.
  • Organize and participate in job fairs and recruitment campaigns targeting professional drivers.
  • Maintain and update a driver candidate database.

3. Screening & Selection

  • Review applications, verify driving licenses, and check experience records.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews to assess candidates’ driving skills, customer service orientation, and knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Coordinate driving tests, practical assessments, and medical fitness examinations.
  • Facilitate background checks including reference verification, criminal records, and traffic violation history.

4. Onboarding & Induction

  • Prepare job offers and employment contracts in line with company policies and labor laws.
  • Conduct orientation sessions covering company policies, vehicle usage, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate issuance of uniforms, equipment, and route assignments.

5. Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with transport and labor regulations (e.g., vehicle license categories, working hours laws).
  • Maintain accurate records of driver credentials, license renewals, and training certifications.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics (e.g., number of drivers hired, turnover rates, recruitment costs).

6. Employer Branding & Engagement

  • Promote the company as an employer of choice for drivers.
  • Develop materials highlighting benefits, career progression, and company culture.
  • Gather feedback from drivers to improve recruitment and retention strategies.

7. Team Management & Support

  • Supervise HR team members or recruiters involved in driver hiring.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to ensure effective recruitment processes.
  • Collaborate with Training and Safety teams to align recruitment with company standards.

  • 3–5 years of HR recruitment experience, with at least 2 years focusing on driver or transport workforce recruitment.
  • Familiarity with transport/logistics operations is preferred.
