New Business Development ● Hunt, identify and approach potential clients across relevant industries. ● Generate qualified leads through existing networks, referrals, industry research, outreach, partnerships, and business events. ● Arrange meetings with prospective clients and introduce the company’s capabilities and services. ● Understand each prospect’s business, marketing priorities, challenges, and upcoming opportunities. ● Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of short-term and long-term business opportunities. ● Follow up consistently and professionally until opportunities are confirmed or formally closed. ● Monitor the market for new campaigns, procurement opportunities, pitches, tenders, and brand activities. 2. Client Consultation & Opportunity Development ● Meet with prospective clients to understand their marketing and communication needs. ● Recommend relevant creative, advertising, content, production, KOL, social media, event, or partnership solutions. ● Identify opportunities to expand a brief into a more effective integrated solution. ● Work with the Managing Director, Creative, Strategy, and Production teams to develop tailored proposals. ● Ensure proposed solutions are relevant to the client’s objectives, budget, timeline, and expectations. ● Develop opportunities for project-based work, monthly retainers, and long-term partnerships. 3. Proposal, Pitch & Negotiation ● Prepare clear client briefs for internal teams following meetings and enquiries. ● Coordinate the development of credentials, proposals, pitch decks, scopes of work, and quotations. ● Present company capabilities, recommendations, and commercial proposals confidently. ● Lead commercial discussions and negotiations within the company’s approved pricing and terms. ● Respond professionally to client questions, objections, and requests for clarification. ● Secure written confirmation, approved quotations, purchase orders, or contracts before project commencement. ● Maintain accurate records of proposals, negotiations, approvals, and agreed commercial terms. 4. Client Relationship & Account Growth ● Build trusted and professional relationships with clients and key decision-makers. ● Maintain regular contact with prospects, existing clients, and past clients. ● Identify upcoming campaigns, business needs, and opportunities before competitors. ● Proactively introduce relevant new services, creative ideas, and partnership opportunities. ● Upsell and cross-sell suitable services based on each client’s needs. ● Work with Client Service teams to ensure a smooth handover after confirmation. ● Stay involved at the appropriate level to support client satisfaction, retention, and account growth. ● Re-engage inactive clients and develop opportunities for repeat business. 5. Sales Pipeline & Reporting ● Maintain an organized and up-to-date record of leads, meetings, proposals, follow-ups, and confirmed projects. ● Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports. ● Track the status and estimated value of each opportunity. ● Develop weekly outreach, meeting, proposal, and follow-up plans. ● Review sales performance against agreed targets. ● Identify reasons for successful and unsuccessful pitches and recommend improvements. ● Provide management with market feedback, client insights, and competitor observations. 6. Internal Collaboration & Commercial Discipline ● Communicate client requirements accurately to Creative, Strategy, Client Service, Production, and Finance teams. ● Ensure internal teams receive complete briefs, confirmed timelines, budget information, and relevant supporting documents. ● Coordinate with Finance regarding quotations, invoicing requirements, payment terms, and outstanding payments when necessary. ● Avoid making unauthorized promises, discounts, scope changes, or commercial commitments. ● Protect the company’s pricing, profitability, reputation, and client relationships. ● Support a professional transition from business development to project execution.
