Position Overview

The Digital Education Officer oversees digital literacy and technology education programs in targeted schools. Responsibilities include project planning, curriculum design, teacher training, and resource management. The officer engages with communities and stakeholders to promote and sustain digital education, while reporting progress and managing challenges

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Implementation
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with government officials, school administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
    • Oversee the deployment of digital literacy training, coding courses, and technology integration in the targeted schools.
  2. Curriculum & Training Development
    • Design engaging, project-based activities and real-world relevant digital literacy and technology education curriculum for selected schools.
    • Collaborate with other local trainers and teachers to seamlessly integrate digital and technology education into the broader curriculum.
    • Train teachers and trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver the curriculum and the sustainability of the program.
    • Assess training effectiveness by monitoring and evaluating the impact of the training programs and make necessary adjustments.
    • Provide ongoing guidance and support to teachers as they implement the new curriculum and teaching strategies.
  3. Project Management & Administration
    • Allocate and monitor budget, personnel, and other resources to ensure efficient project execution.
    • Regularly assess project milestones, identify challenges, and report to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
    • Adhere to project guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements set by Tech for Kids Academy and relevant stakeholders.
  4. Community Engagement & Sustainability
    • Promote the importance of digital literacy and technology education through outreach and communication efforts.
    • Collaborate with local organizations, business, and community stakeholders to create a sustainable ecosystem for digital education.
    • Empower local communities to take ownership of the project and ensure its long-term success.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).

 • At least 2 years’ experience in teaching or project management, ideally in education or tech.

 • Strong knowledge of educational technologies and digital classroom tools.

 • Experience delivering training or professional development for educators/adults.

 • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
