Job Summary:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for leading the quantity surveying function on construction projects, ensuring effective cost planning, contract administration, and financial control from project inception through completion while mentoring junior QS staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
  • Review drawings and specifications and oversee quantity take-offs and cost analyses.
  • Manage tender evaluations, negotiations, and recommendations for contractor and supplier awards.
  • Administer construction contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project expenditures, cash flow, and forecasts, and provide regular cost reports to management.
  • Conduct site measurements and coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve commercial issues.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop junior quantity surveyors and ensure adherence to company procedures and industry standards.
