Accounting

• Accountable for day-to-day accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, cash/bank management, and inventory accounting.

• Oversee and process timely payments, invoice processing, and debt collection.

• Ensure strict compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, including accurate calculation, filing, and submission of monthly and annual tax returns (VAT, WHT, TOI, etc.).

• Coordinate internal and external audit processes for the Cambodia entity and implement audit recommendations.

• Maintain accurate inventory calculations, gross margin tracking, and financial database records.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure compliance with internal accounting standards and policies.

-Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management report packages for review by the Finance Manager (EWHMTD & EWCB).

• Assist in monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and operational insights.

• Ensure full compliance with local statutory reporting requirements and group reporting timelines.

• Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready financial records and documentation.

-Business Reporting

• Support the Finance Manager (Vietnam) and local EWCB teams in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities like quarterly, monthly..

• Serve as the main local contact for external regulatory bodies, banks, vendors, and audit firms in Cambodia.

• Identify operational cost optimization opportunities and support local process improvements utilizing available ICT tools.

• Address routine financial issues and provide practical accounting support to local department heads.

-People, Organisation and Culture

• Provide guidance, work allocation, and performance management for local finance/accounting junior team members.

• Promote a culture of strong internal controls, transparency, and high accountability within the Cambodia operations.

• Collaborate closely with Finance Manager (EWHMTD & EWCB) and Country Manager (EWCB) to ensure alignment in accounting practices and financial systems.

-Key Success Factors

• Proven ownership and accountability for managing end-to-end accounting and tax operations in Cambodia.

• Strong technical capability in Cambodian tax laws, statutory accounting, and local compliance.

• Clear communication skills with the ability to bridge local operations in Cambodia with Finance Manager (EWHMTD) and regional Finance Director.

• Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and process efficiency

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or pursuing) is a plus.

• Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a senior/supervisory role handling full-set accounting and local tax filings.

Key Competencies & Technical Skills

• Solid working knowledge of Cambodian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP/CAS).

• Direct experience working within ERP software environment (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.

• Good understanding of operational business processes, cost controls, and financial variance analysis.

• Fluency in written and spoken Khmer and English 

• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.

• High integrity, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently in a separate legal entity environment.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting tight financial reporting deadlines.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across cultures and functions.
