Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Works within the Finance department of a corporation, financial institution, or consulting firm.
  • Collaborates closely with finance, accounting, IT, and business operations teams.
  • Supports strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data, processes, and systems.
  • Reports to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • May be involved in projects such as budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, process improvement, and system implementations.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to support business decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Gather and document business requirements for finance-related projects and system enhancements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize financial operations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities with data analysis and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and test new financial systems or upgrades.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and communicate findings.
  • Provide training and support to finance staff on new processes or systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting finance.
  • Budget preparation twice a year.
  • Budget controlling on all functions on monthly basis

Job Requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s or professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CBAP is a plus).

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or a related finance role in retail, trading or similar industries.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial software.

Soft Skills:

  • Critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, effective communication, and time management.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
