Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Supervise daily thawing, washing, and descaling operations
  • Supervise fish cutting processes (head removal, tail removal, gut removal) and ensure bubble cleaning quality
  • Supervise manual weighing and filling of fish into cans according to standard guidelines
  • Supervise pre-cooking, draining, and cooling processes to ensure correct operation flow
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and compliance readiness
  • Ensure full traceability of finished goods from production to warehouse
  • Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and labeling records
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Department to ensure machine performance, uptime, and quick breakdown resolution
  • Monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and production interruption
  • Report technical issues and follow up on corrective actions
  • Monitor production yield and minimize material loss throughout the process
  • Identify and reduce waste, inefficiencies, and process deviations
  • Ensure continuous improvement in productivity and operational efficiency
  • Assign workforce for daily production operations based on production plan
  • Provide on-the-job training to operators to improve skills, performance, and compliance awareness
  • Supervise staff discipline, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs
  • Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve operational issues
  • Identify root causes of production problems and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure smooth communication between departments to maintain production flow

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Agro-Industry, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in food manufacturing, food and beverage production, or Canned fish processing industry.
  • Experience in supervisory role in production
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Lean)
  • Strong understanding of canned fish processing operations (thawing, cutting, cleaning, weighing, filling, cooking, cooling)
  • Good knowledge of food safety systems: GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSMS, QMS, HALAL
  • Understanding of yield control, waste reduction, and production efficiency principles
  • Understanding of supply chain and production planning
