Job Description

A. Product Development & Innovation
• Lead the creation, improvement, and optimization of new products.
• Conduct research on materials, design options, and technologies.
• Ensure product prototypes meet functional, safety, and performance standards.
B. Project Leadership
• Plan, organize, and oversee PD projects from concept to mass production.
• Assign tasks to PD team members and monitor progress.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with Production, QC, QA, Sales, and Marketing.
• Manage project timelines and ensure on-time delivery of PD milestones.
C. Testing & Validation
• Oversee product testing, analysis, and validation.
• Recommend modifications based on test results, performance data, and user feedback.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
D. Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare detailed PD documents: specifications, BOM, test reports, SOPs, and revision notes.
• Maintain accurate and updated records for product approvals.
• Present progress reports to management.
E. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work with Marketing and Sales to identify customer needs and market trends.
• Assist Production in solving technical issues during trial runs and mass production.
• Collaborate with QC/QA to ensure new products meet quality standards.
F. Continuous Improvement
• Analyze existing products for improvement opportunities.
• Recommend efficiency upgrades for processes, designs, materials, or cost optimization.
• Support company innovation initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Development, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (depending on industry).
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in product development or R&D.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team preferred.
• Knowledge of product development cycle, materials, and testing processes.
• Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO standards).
4. Skills Required
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CAD, design software, or PD tools is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Working Conditions
• Office and/or laboratory environment.
• Coordination with production areas during trials or testing.
• Occasional travel may be required (supplier visits, customer trials, etc.).
6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• On-time completion of PD projects.
• Successful launch of new/improved products.
• Product performance vs. cost targets.
• Quality compliance and reduction of rework issues during trials.
• Team productivity and collaboration effectiveness.

5. Working Conditions
• May work in laboratory, production, or warehouse environments.
• Requires standing, lifting, or moving materials depending on the industry.
• Shift work may be required (optional based on company policy).
