Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Involve in the project planning, organizing, and management of the internal and external design consultancy team to meet the top management's expectations and monitor the design process from feasibility studies/reports, standards, design development, contract procurement, technical design, project schedule, tender documentation, tender evaluation, bidding process, post contract management and architectural consultation and produce design concepts and drawings upon request from management for architecture, interior design, urban planning, or landscape.
  • Develops and produces schematic plans, visual design packages, sketches, details and design intended drawing packages, materials specifications and schedules to support the execution of store designs that clearly communicate the design direction to peers and leadership, cross-functional partners, construction teams and external consultants, according to prescribed deadlines, especially assisting in full site survey study with design options for feasibility studies.
  • Review and coordinate all works during each phase including specification, CAD/REVIT/BIM models, project documents and design intent keep within financial budgets and deadlines. Conducting the Design Review, Value Engineering and recommend good practices for future projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee all technical activities relating to architectural and engineering projects, including directing the Starbucks team, Contractors and external design consultancy team, reviewing drafts and computer modeling, and approving design changes.
  • Coordinate with architectural consultant on drawing issues, and perform checking of coordination drawings between architecture, structure, and MEP.
  • Perform periodical site visits and meetings, reviewing architectural material and construction drawing by contractor and resolving architectural related problems occur during construction stage.
  • Conduct design audits at various stages to ensure that works on site are carried out based on original design. This shall include adjusting for non-practical design to prevent recurring mistakes.

Job Requirements

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in architectural design and consultation, preferably gained from the F&B industry.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (English), both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in document control & budgetary management or related disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS applications, especially in Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Be hands-on and open-minded thinking.
  • To exhibit tasks using computer programs such as AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, 3D Studio MAX, Sketch up Pro., V-Ray Plug-in, and Adobe Creative Suites at a very good level or higher.
