The Assistant Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for overseeing sales operations and strategy across multiple areas or territories within a defined region. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, managing high-performing sales teams, expanding market share, and ensuring the successful execution of national and regional sales strategies. The RSM serves as a key link between field sales teams and senior management.

  • Lead and manage Senior Supervisor (ASM) and their respective teams across the region.
  • Develop and implement regional sales plans in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze regional sales performance; identify gaps and initiate corrective actions.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational support to maximize territory coverage and efficiency.
  • Set sales targets for areas within the region and ensure they are achieved or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Identify market opportunities and threats; recommend strategies to strengthen market position.
  • Oversee regional budget planning, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment and execution of commercial plans.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support and motivate teams, and to stay informed on market dynamics.
  • Report regional sales performance and insights to Head of Sales Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in sales, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Experience in the same industry (e.g., Automotive & Microfinance) is a plus.
  • Staying within the target area is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy (budgeting, forecasting, P&L understanding).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned area.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated.
  • Adaptable and proactive in a dynamic market environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
