The General Teaching Assistant will work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks and work under the guidance/instruction of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programs to enable access to learning and training for Students and to assist Special educators and other therapists.

The role of the General Teaching Assistant is essential to the smooth running of the school. Working as part of a team, the Teaching Assistant will support the learning and well-being of pupils throughout the school.
They will support the Teachers and therapists in ensuring the daily needs of our pupils are met in a professional, competent, safe, and fun school environment.

Job Requirements

A strong academic track record to degree level and above (psychology preferred).
Experience in handling kids with disabilities will be an added advantage.
Ability to understand and communicate in English.
Ability to contribute towards the Academy’s and the Trust’s vision and ethos. This position must enjoy completing their work in a professional and positive manner, relish solving problems and take pride in helping people.
Ability to demonstrate academic ambition for all students; a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.
