The General Teaching Assistant will work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks and work under the guidance/instruction of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programs to enable access to learning and training for Students and to assist Special educators and other therapists.              

 

  • The role of the General Teaching Assistant is essential to the smooth running of the school. Working as part of a team, the Teaching Assistant will support the learning and well-being of pupils throughout the school.
  • They will support the Teachers and therapists in ensuring the daily needs of our pupils are met in a professional, competent, safe, and fun school environment.

Job Requirements

  • A strong academic track record to degree level and above (psychology preferred).
  • Experience in handling kids with disabilities will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English.
  • Ability to contribute towards the Academy’s and the Trust’s vision and ethos. This position must enjoy completing their work in a professional and positive manner, relish solving problems and take pride in helping people.
  • Ability to demonstrate academic ambition for all students; a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.
