An Exciting Opportunity for ...

Lead the actuarial/product development team in developing and maintaining advanced pricing models, ensuring competitive and profitable premium rates for life insurance products.
Oversee valuation, reserving, and experience studies, including asset adequacy analysis and compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., NAIC guidelines).
Direct financial forecasting, capital management, and risk assessment to support corporate planning and solvency objectives.
Spearhead product development initiatives, including designing new life insurance products (e.g., term, whole life, universal life, annuities), conducting profitability testing, and performing market analysis to ensure products align with customer needs and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks, prepare actuarial opinions and reports, and represent the company in interactions with regulators and auditors.
Provide strategic actuarial insights to senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and Board, on risk management, reinsurance strategies, and emerging trends.
Mentor and develop a high-performing actuarial/product team, fostering professional growth and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, finance, and IT teams to integrate actuarial models into business processes and systems.
Monitor industry developments, including mortality trends, economic factors, and technological advancements (e.g., predictive analytics), to inform actuarial assumptions and strategies.

Job Requirements

Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required; additional credentials (e.g., MAAA) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive actuarial experience in the life insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in product development and pricing for life insurance products.
Expertise in actuarial software (e.g., MG-ALFA, AXIS, Prophet, GGY AXIS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) preferred.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., Statutory Accounting Principles, NAIC standards, Solvency II equivalents if applicable).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ethical standards and continuous professional development.
