Position Overview:

The Senior Management and System Accounting Unit is responsible for overseeing and improving financial management, accounting systems, internal controls, and reporting functions. This role ensures financial data integrity, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial operations. The position requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and proficiency in financial systems and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and complies with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Support the budgeting process and financial forecasting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

2. Accounting Systems & Internal Controls

  • Maintain and enhance financial and accounting systems to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place to safeguard financial assets.
  • Work with IT teams to optimize accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Conduct system audits and recommend improvements to financial processes.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support financial planning and resource allocation strategies.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Assist with external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.

5. Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Support and guide junior accounting staff in financial management and reporting.
  • Provide training on accounting systems and compliance requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes.

6. Coordination with Other Departments

  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and operations teams to align financial strategies.
  • Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Assist in financial decision-making by providing relevant data and analysis.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years in accounting, financial management, or system accounting roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting.
    • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
    • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and internal control skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Chief of Management and System Accounting Unit or Finance Director
  • Supervises: Junior accounting staff (if applicable)
  • This role is essential for maintaining financial efficiency, compliance, and strategic financial planning within the organization.
