1. Lead projects: Drive the design, development, and improvement of medical devices and technologies, overseeing projects from start to finish.
2. Ensure regulatory compliance: Verify that all equipment and processes adhere to regulatory requirements, such as those from the FDA, ISO 13485, and other local health authorities.
3. Provide technical guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
4. Manage maintenance and repair: Oversee and perform complex preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment, particularly patient-connected and highly complex devices.
5. Manage equipment lifecycle: Handle the commissioning, installation, validation, and eventual decommissioning of medical equipment.
6. Collaborate with teams: Work with clinical staff, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing to translate user needs into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions.
7. Assess and mitigate risk: Lead risk assessments, conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure patient safety.
8. Manage vendors and suppliers: Act as a liaison with external vendors for equipment sourcing, technical support, and service contracts

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field is required.
• 3 or more years of experience in medical device or M&E hardware/equipment development, maintenance, or engineering, with a proven track record of leading projects.
• Technical expertise: Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Software proficiency: Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB), and database management.
• Proficient in the English language with the ability to write, read, and speak fluently.
• Problem-solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and clinical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and drive innovation.
