A Great Opportunity for ...

We are looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant / Shadow Teacher to support students with special needs in classroom and therapy settings. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of Special Educators and therapists to help implement individual learning plans and provide one-on-one or small group support.


This role is vital in helping students with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, and other developmental delays participate meaningfully in their daily routines. The preferred candidate will have a background in psychology, special education, or child development. Cambodian nationals are highly encouraged to apply.


• Assist the lead teacher in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one or group support to students during academic, therapy, and life skills sessions
• Help students with daily routines such as transitions, toileting, feeding, and behavior
regulation
• Use appropriate strategies to support communication, behavior, and learning needs
• Monitor and record student progress and share observations with the lead teacher and
therapists
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized, supportive learning environment
• Encourage and support student independence in daily tasks
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other assistants to ensure consistent
support
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school activities as required

Job Requirements

• Background in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field (certificate or degree preferred)
• Experience working with children, especially those with special needs or developmental
delays
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine interest in child development
• Willingness to learn and apply evidence-based strategies under supervision
• Ability to follow routines, instructions, and individual behavior plans
• Basic spoken and written English
• Cambodian nationals are preferred for this position
Preferred Experience
• Prior experience in a special education or therapy-based setting
• Familiarity with behavior support strategies and communication tools
• Basic understanding of Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties
