Position          : Chinese Translator

Job Summary

The Chinese Translator is responsible for providing accurate translation and interpretation services between Chinese-speaking patients and hospital staff to ensure clear communication and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oral interpretation between Chinese-speaking patients and doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
• Translate medical documents, patient records, consent forms, and hospital materials between Chinese and English/Khmer.
• Assist Chinese patients with registration, appointments, and hospital procedures.
• Support medical staff in explaining diagnoses, treatments, and medical instructions.
• Ensure all translations are accurate, clear, and confidential.
• Assist with communication between international patients and hospital departments.
• Help improve the patient experience for Chinese-speaking patients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English. Khmer is an advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in translation or interpretation.
• Experience in medical or hospital environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
