Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Develop and issue educational content including notes, tests, and assignments.
  • Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
  • Able to teach a variety of subjects.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
  • Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
  • Plan and implement educational activities and events.
  • Evaluate and document students’ progress.
  • Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.
  • Manage and oversee the aspects of all kitchen sections and other teaching programs in and off the campus, in collaboration with the local culinary instructor team, and the supporting departments at PIE.
  • Works closely with the Dean, to create the curriculum plans based on the academy’s goals, fulfill, and achieve the training objectives of PIE
  • Assists in the planning and execution of the day-to-day operations of the training program, oversees quality of training, and ensures training is implemented within the set budget and time parameters
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and assist the Dean in ensuring the PIE curriculum is current and meets industry needs and communicate relevant, real-world experiences to the students

Job Requirements

  • A high degree of technical, practical, and culinary knowledge and ability to relay information in a manner that provides a positive learning experience and instils a passion for the profession •
  • Certified Executive Chef experience, with culinary teaching background in a Culinary Academic Institution in Cambodia
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges
  • Comfortable in being part of a team responsible for establishing a new educational institution
  • MS Office, Online-teaching
  • English: Proficient ILETS 7 / C1 / Khmer: Is an advantage
