I. General Summary:
Primary job focus is to operate equipment and tools, assemble vehicles and perform quality checks. The operator is responsible for supporting the company’s mission statement and overall business objectives by living the quality philosophy, following the environmental policy, and actively working to improve production results.

II. Essential Job Functions:

• Follow standard work procedures.
• Meet production requirements and complete production sheets.
• Stop, call, & wait for all abnormal conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate issues with TL (Team Leader)/Production Manager.
• Perform required quality checks.
• Participate in a manufacturing system improvement, emphasizing teamwork, safety training and discipline.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques to standardize process/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods.
• Maintain daily 5S in the work area and equipment.
• Work well with other team members.
• Understand and work by the HGB Motors philosophy.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education: High School diploma or GED (General Educational Development Test) preferred.
• Personal/Technical Skills:
  • Must be able to work a shift schedule including daily or weekend overtime. 
  • Ability to exercise on daily basis.
  • Work well with other team members.
  • Understand and work by the HGB Motors philosophy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
• Work Environment/Conditions:
  • Plant:  Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.  PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. are required in vehicle assembly and warehouse areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear.  The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 15 kgs and push/pull 15-30 kgs.
