Job Description

  • Drive plating performance across all areas within the operations to ensure product/project are delivered on cost, time and quality.
  • To set up Plating function together with Production team and Program Lead
  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive down production costs, improve quality and productivity.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, parameters, and procedures are accurate and strictly followed to maintain the high standard of operations
  • Ensure technical problems are resolved in a timely manner and ensure the system can support business effectively
  • Identifying the root cause, investigating the problem, and implementing corrective actions in case issues arise in the plating process
  • Control metallization and dementalization process
  • Control and analyze plating scrap from plating process and scrap from stripping process
  • Ensure orders are manufactured according to process specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Responsible for achieving optimum labor and least amount of overhead and raw material costs.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement activities to enhance efficiencies, reduce wastes and manufacturing lead times.
  • Follow all work procedures in a consistent manner with all regulatory, safety, quality and health requirements.
  • Manage production budget and controls expenses efficiently.
  • Manage staff issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, and training.
  • Ensure supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working environment and drive company values.
  • Train and develop the production teams to maximize competencies and core values.
  • Productivity management and KPI control & management.
  • Co-ordinate with the development and sample team to ensure the transfer of new products to mass production is smooth. (Confirm of Routing, BOM, Standard Time, etc.)
  • Support quality-control programs and solve quality related issues
  • Others are assigned by management.

  • Be responsible for OHSE in the workplace and report to his/her supervisor of any hazard detected. Continuously monitor the quality of your work to ensure standards are met according to the company quality
  • management system.
  • Always abide by the company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, other types of engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with strong technical skills in Plating Engineering; experience in the jewelry industry is an advantage.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, cooperation, and hard-working.
  • Strong in process management, production planning & control production.
  • Knowledge of Lean management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership qualities, good attitude, strong management and problem-solving skills, strategic thinker, and good interpersonal attitude.
  • Willing to learn new things.
