Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

  • To supervise and control the financial aspects of tour operations, including supplier payments, cost validation, tour reconciliations, and operational expense tracking.
  • This role bridges finance and operations, ensuring financial discipline, timely reporting, and compliance across the tour delivery process.

JOB SCOPE:

  • Provides timely proactive financial evaluation, information and advice that enables Operation teams and the management to develop and execute effective plans and take informed decisions to deliver company goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Tour Cost Control & Validation

  • Review and validate tour costing sheets and supplier quotations.
  • Ensure that all operational bookings (transport, hotels, guides, meals, etc.) align with budgeted
  • costs.
  • Monitor materialized vs. forecasted tour costs and flag variances to management.
  • Tour Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Supervise tour close-out procedures with Operation and Sales teams.
  • Reconcile actual costs with estimated costs and ensure proper documentation for each
  • completed tour.
  • Prepare monthly operational cost reports, highlighting tour profitability by type and
  • destination.
  • Supplier Invoice Management
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of invoices from tour suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Operation and AP teams to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain supplier payment schedules based on agreed credit terms and cash flow requirements
  • Operational Financial Controls
  • Oversee the float/cash advance process for tour guides and tour leaders.
  • Review tour petty cash claims and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud.

Collaboration & Business Support

  • Act as the finance liaison for the Operation Department.
  • Participate in operational meetings and contribute financial insight to decision-making.
  • Support operations teams with cost benchmarking and supplier performance data.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in finance or operation accounting experiences.
  • The candidate will also be better suited with experience in Travel industry.
  • MS Office and Software:
  • Possess good computer skill, being proficient in Advance Ms Excel, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint,
  • which will all be necessary for the effective performance of the creation of reports, proposals and
  • recommendations.
  • Other Skills
