Job Summary

The Finance Manager – 2-wheels ( Vespa brand) is responsible for managing the financial operations of the automotives sales, aftersales, spare parts, and service activities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong inventory and margin control, compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and provides financial insights to support dealership and business performance.

 

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts motorbike sales, parts and service departments.
  • Analyze gross margin by motorbike model, spare parts category, and service operations.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs including sale margin, parts turnover, service profitability, and operating expenses.
  • Prepare financial reports for management and group reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecast for 2 wheels operations.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and explain variance.
  • Support pricing strategies and cost control initiatives.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Oversee motorbike, spare parts, and accessories inventory accounting.
  • Ensure proper stock movement recording (GRN, SO, invoice, stock issue)
  • Reconcile system inventory with physical stock and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory and proposed provisions.

Sales & Revenue Control

  • Ensure accurate recording of 2-wheel sales (motorbikes), parts sales, and service revenues.
  • Review sales documents (SO, delivery note, invoice) for completeness and compliance.
  • Monitor dealer incentives, discounts, and warranty claims.
  •  Ensure proper revenue recognition for 2-wheel transactions.

Cash Flow & Credit Control

  • Manage cash flow related to 2-wheel purchases, parts imports and operating expenses.
  • Monitor customer credit limits, aging, and collections.
  • Coordinate with banks on financing, guarantees, and trade facilities.

Tax & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulation​​ (​VAT, WHT, Patent tax)
  • Review tax calculations related to vehicle imports, spare parts
  • Coordinate with tax agents and auditors for audits and inspections.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Ensure proper use and configuration of NAV system / Autor line.
  • Improve internal control across sales inventory and service operation.
  • Support system integration between sales, workshop and finance module.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and develop accounting and finance staff
  • Advise management on financial risks, profitability and improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in automotive or dealership operations.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle sales, spare parts, and service accounting.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
