Production Planning & Coordination

  • Assist the Production Manager in developing, scheduling, and executing daily and weekly production plans.
  • Monitor production output, track KPIs, and ensure targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate material availability with procurement and warehouse teams to prevent production downtime.
  • Adjust production schedules in response to shifting priorities, machine breakdowns, or supply disruptions.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise production supervisors, line leaders, and frontline operators across one or more production shifts.
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure clear communication of production goals and safety standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new production staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching, feedback, and development support.

Quality & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with QA/QC teams to enforce compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve product defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance throughput and reduce waste.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first culture on the production floor at all times.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local regulatory requirements, EHS policies, and ISO standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained on safety protocols and use of PPE.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, downtime records, and labor utilization reports.
  • Act as a key point of contact between production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. (A Diploma with extensive experience may be considered.)

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of production management systems (ERP/MES such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
  • Understanding of GMP, ISO 9001, or other relevant quality management frameworks.

Working Conditions

  • This role requires regular presence on the production floor, which may involve exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Shift work, including evenings, weekends, or rotating shifts, may be required depending on operational needs.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in designated areas.
  • Occasional overtime during peak production periods or urgent operational requirements.
