Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

  • Completing shed estimating and Bill of Material (BOM) take-offs(quotes) in preparation for shed manufacture
  • Interpreting engineering documents and architectural plans to apply to shed designs ready for manufacture.
  • Bill of Material system upload procedure
  • Order Confirmation Packages - Preparation of detailed shed design documentation to present to the customer & installers, including CAD drawings/elevations, building specifications and Bill of Materials (BOM) lists.
  • Utilising 2D & 3D CAD software to design various components and connection details for shed structures and provide working drawings for manufacture.
  • Managing workflow & customer delivery dates nationally - Managing and providing regular updates and communication to customers and the wider sales teams on the progress of shed design projects
  • Resolving discrepancies by collecting and analysing information and communicating directly with customers and across several departments including trade & retail sales, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics & engineering.
  • Collaboration with the engineering team to incorporate efficient design solutions to meet our customer’s needs and building design requirements
  • Customer design checks and design confirmations to assist the sales teams
  • Provide feedback on shed design software & installation guide improvements where required We are a leading manufacturer and retailer of quality building and home improvement products in involvement, we are seeking a technically minded team member to join our Estimating team. This position

Job Requirements

  • High English Proficiency (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening).
  • Tertiary degree in a Technical Background (Preferably Engineering).
  • Experience in quoting or technical estimating preferred.
  • Experience using 2D &3D CAD software – Ideally experience using SOLIDWORKS.
  • Good understanding
  • Good understanding of standard computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Desire to continue professional development.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and teamworking skills (oral & written).
