Position Overview

The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Officer is responsible for carrying out thorough inspections and quality checks of all two-wheelers before delivery to customers or Dealers. The role ensures vehicles meet manufacturer standards, safety guidelines, and dealership quality benchmarks. The PDI Officer plays a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining brand reputation by ensuring every vehicle is delivered in perfect condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspection of all new vehicles according to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards.
  • Ensure all safety and functional parameters are tested and verified.
  • Maintain Stock & Consignments
  • Record and update inspection findings in PDI checklist and system records.
  • Coordinate with workshop/service team to resolve any defects, faults, or discrepancies before vehicle delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain availability of PDI tools, equipment, and checklists.
  • Report recurring quality issues to Aftersales Manager for corrective action.
  • Ensure timely completion of PDI process to meet customer & Dealer delivery schedules.
  • Generate Delivery Note

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or related technical field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in vehicle inspection, workshop, or service operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of two-wheelers
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to maintain digital inspection records.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
